I think it is one of the difficult phase mothers have to go through, but don't worry this phase will pass soon.
It's a myth that teething directly causes diarrhea, fever, running nose infections. Babies are prone to infections during teething as they pick up everything which can be contaminated with germs and take them in their mouth.
- Make sure to keep your baby clean.
- Clean your baby's toys.
- You can get teether rings available in baby shops, they are good for soothing (also keep them clean).
- Put a small clean towel napkin in fridge. Give it to your baby he will suck it.
- If you baby is old enough to eat. Give him/her ice-creams and cold soothing desserts .
Do not give any drugs for teething!
Don't use soothing gels, aspirin, benzocaine as they all are contraindicated in children.
